VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat) has learned that on October 9, “Ji Jiankang,” a big data-driven precision healthcare service platform, announced the completion of its RMB 60 million angel financing round. Participants included Dr. Han Xiaohong, founder of Ciming Health Checkup; Mr. Yu Rong, Chairman of Meinian Onehealth Healthcare; Shanghai Tianyi Capital; Beijing Zhenghedao Fund; and Beijing Chongshan Capital, among others.
According to Wu Yong, Executive Chairman and CEO of Ji Jiankang, as revealed in a media interview, the company will continue to increase its investment in big data mining and artificial intelligence (AI) technology research and development following this round of financing. Ji Jiankang aims to continuously improve its existing health management services, leverage health big data as an entry point to more effectively link medical resources at all levels, accelerate the penetration of AI technology in the healthcare industry, and build a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem.
Ji Jiankang is a health management service platform integrating big data with medical services. Its core framework consists of four components: Record Health, Measure Health, Manage Health, and ultimately, Protect Health. “Record Health” refers to retrieving users’ historical health information with their consent, comprehensively and accurately recording current and future dynamic data, and returning these data to the users.
Within Ji Jiankang’s in-house backend medical team, physicians leverage users’ longitudinal health data to deliver effective, precise, and customized offline health services. Users can also communicate and interact with doctors conveniently and in real time via mobile devices, enabling online self-health management based on physical examination data.
“Ji Jiankang”: Unlocking the Value of the Post-Health Checkup Market
In January 2015, Ciming Health Checkup abandoned its IPO and merged into the listing track of Meinian Onehealth. Prior to this, in August 2014, Ciming had independently established Beijing CI JI Network Technology Co., Ltd., launching the O2O health management service platform “Ji Jiankang.” Following the merger between Ciming and Meinian Onehealth, both parties began jointly investing to vigorously develop this product.
At the launch event for “Ji Jiankang” in January 2015, Han Xiaohong, CEO of Ciming Health Checkup, stated that Ji Jiankang represented another innovative platform she had developed.
In the field of health management, Ji Jiankang targets the post-checkup health management market. Currently, post-checkup tracking, follow-up, and other health management services remain relatively underserved. The emergence of Ji Jiankang precisely fills this gap. By collecting checkup data, it enables multi-channel, multi-dimensional health management functions, while the value of such data is immeasurable.
As early as 2012, Han Xiaohong led her team over a four-year period to establish Ciming Aoya Health Management Hospital, a membership-based, personalized health management facility. This model addressed patient compliance issues through high costs, substantial investment, and significant membership fees; however, its scalability was limited. Han Xiaohong sought to leverage internet tools and partner with Meinian Onehealth Healthcare to promote this model nationwide across China.
Han Xiaohong believes that the internet, mobile healthcare, big data, and cloud computing provide the industry with opportunities to address health management challenges through low-cost, high-efficiency means. “Through our data platform, we can facilitate doctor-patient communication, enable mutual selection between doctors and patients, overcome geographical barriers, and resolve language obstacles.” CI Health is a key platform for achieving this goal.
Backed by 18 Million Institutional Health Examination Data Points to Deliver Precise Health Services
Han Xiaohong previously stated in an interview with VCBeat, “While others are busy seeking customers, our customers are already there; I just need to serve them through a data-driven platform.”
Wu Yong stated that the advantage of Ji Jiankang lies in its access to 15 years of data accumulation from Ciming Health Checkup. Supported by 18 million structured health examination records, the company is able to build precise health management models that meet customers’ actual needs while improving physicians’ efficiency in managing patient care.
To this end, Ji Jiankang has assembled an R&D team comprising experts in big data, artificial intelligence, and medicine. Currently, the platform can extract tags for over 1,000 diseases, classify risk levels, and intelligently provide health management plans. It conducts risk assessment and prediction using physiological age evaluation models, risk prediction models, and precise intervention models. Additionally, it offers personalized add-on re-examinations and patient triage and referral services based on user needs. The Ji Jiankang team currently employs approximately 30 in-house physicians and maintains long-term collaborations with 2,000 doctors at Ciming Health Checkup.
Regarding the application of big data in the field of health examinations, the Ji Jiankang platform has currently achieved 95% service standardization, increasing the service efficiency of health management physicians by more than 20-fold. In addition, this September, Ji Jiankang and iFlytek signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. The two parties will engage in in-depth collaboration on the application of artificial intelligence in health management and medical services, committed to providing new products and services in areas such as intelligent analysis of health examination big data, AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment, and customized intelligent health intervention plans.
"Become the leading brand in internet-based health management, and next, delve into community healthcare."
On the official website of Ciming Health Checkup, a striking statement stands out in the introduction to Ji Jiankang: “To become the No. 1 brand in internet-based health management.” This is Ji Jiankang’s vision and the ultimate height it aims to achieve through years of deep cultivation in the health examination sector.
Previously, Ji Jiankang’s business model primarily targeted B-side corporate clients, having provided post-checkup health management services to employees of 332 companies. In October this year, the new version of the Ji Jiankang APP was officially launched, simultaneously rolling out health management services for C-side individual users.

Distribution of Size Detection Points for Ji Jiankang
According to data disclosed on its official website, Ji Jiankang has established over 70 flagship stores, more than 300 testing bases, and upwards of 1,000 health kiosks across China. It also employs over 6,000 health managers and private physicians, and has accumulated tens of millions of health examination records. As part of its O2O model, the company has set up more than 300 blood collection stations nationwide, covering 32 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions. Additionally, it operates over 20 laboratory centers in cities such as Shenyang, Beijing, Wuhan, Changsha, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Sanya, aiming to create the largest life-science testing portal for China’s 1.3 billion people.
Currently, Ji Jiankang has established partnerships with companies such as Mingyi Zhudao and Dingdang Kuaiyao, dedicated to building a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem. In an interview with the media, Wu Yong revealed that Ji Jiankang plans to connect with 1,000 health examination institutions in the near future. By collaborating with Yilianzhong, the company will extend data collection, analysis, and management services deep into community healthcare service centers.
