The 2017 China Smart Connected Health Innovation Summit, co-hosted by Fosun Pharma and VCBeat, will be held at the Bund Finance Center (BFC) in Shanghai on October 30, 2017.

Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued the "Notice on Releasing the 2017 Project Application Guidelines for the Key Special Program on Critical Scientific Issues in Transformative Technologies under the National Key R&D Program." According to the notice, the 2017 Key Special Program on Critical Scientific Issues in Transformative Technologies will deploy 13 research directions, focusing on precise reconstruction of chemical bonds, metamaterials, precise mesoscale measurement of organs, bionic dexterous prosthetics, artificial intelligence, and novel terahertz radiation sources. Among these, four are related to medicine and two to AI.
Artificial Intelligence Continues to Heat Up: Currently, the AI revolution is no longer confined to theoretical research; its integration with real-world application scenarios is becoming increasingly prevalent. In the healthcare sector, AI applications span multiple areas, including medical image processing, big data analytics in healthcare, new drug discovery, and health management.
The China Smart Connected Health Innovation Summit will bridge artificial intelligence and internet-based healthcare, focusing on three major themes: Healthcare C2M (Consumer-to-Manufacturer), Internet+Pharmaceuticals, and Medical Robotics. The event will explore new directions, pathways, and implementation strategies for transformation in the field of smart healthcare from perspectives such as technology, business models, industry hotspots, and development trends. Distinguished guests invited to attend include Mr. Xu Su, current member of the Shanghai Municipal Decision-Making Advisory Committee; Ms. Du Xiaoyan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Association of Plastics and Aesthetics and President of its Internet Branch; Mr. Wang Qunbin, Executive Director and CEO of Fosun Group; and Mr. Chen Qiyu, Executive Director and Co-President of Fosun Group and Chairman of Fosun Pharma.

Building a Smart Healthcare C2M Closed Loop
C2M, or Consumer-to-Manufacturer, leverages the penetration of the internet into industries to seamlessly integrate customer needs with design, manufacturing, and services, thereby establishing a new type of supply-and-demand relationship. The C2M model enables direct engagement and interaction between production and consumers, eliminating unnecessary intermediate links. In the healthcare sector, adopting the C2M model can break down various barriers, such as geographical limitations and information asymmetry between doctors and patients, thus maximizing the efficiency of medical resource utilization and improving the quality of healthcare services. However, what are the optimal entry points for introducing the C2M model into the smart healthcare field, and are there any successful models or experiences to draw upon?
Expansion and Optimization of Pharmaceutical Sales Models
Previously, pharmaceutical companies relied on relatively simplistic sales models, focusing exclusively on either prescription drug sales, over-the-counter (OTC) sales, or third-terminal sales. However, as the pharmaceutical landscape grows increasingly complex, relying solely on these few sales models is no longer sufficient to effectively navigate the Chinese pharmaceutical market.
Third-tier terminals, key accounts (KA), out-of-hospital sales, and the broader health sector... New sales models have emerged. However, amidst ever-changing industry policies, how should pharmaceutical companies select and combine sales models? Can pharmaceutical sales models still achieve new breakthroughs?
Industrialization of Medical Robots
From the perspective of mature product and technology supply, China’s marketed medical robot products and core technology R&D are still in their infancy. However, due to the relative overcapacity in domestic electronic products and high-tech manufacturing, the convergence of technology, industry, capital, and market presents a prime opportunity, serving as a catalyst for the development of the medical robotics industry.
Should the industrialization of medical robots be driven by vertical application markets, or should it follow the traditional path from technological R&D to commercialization? How far off is the future of the medical robot industry’s industrialization?
Are you encountering pain points or unresolved questions in the aforementioned areas and related fields?
The summit brought together numerous industry leaders, experts, and scholars, whose in-depth discussions and insights are sure to inspire you with fresh ideas to dispel any doubts.
Or perhaps you have deep industry expertise and dedicated research, offering your own insightful perspectives on the aforementioned issues?
The summit looks forward to the collision of new ideas, and the exploration of changes in the field of intelligent healthcare needs you.
