VCBeat (WeChat: vcbeat) has learned that Daka Zhuyun, a domestic physician group and chain of clinics specializing in assisted reproductive technology, has officially announced the completion of its Pre-A round financing, amounting to tens of millions of RMB.
This round of financing was exclusively invested by Yinyue Medical Fund. The company previously received angel-round investment from Yuanhe Origin, and China Renaissance Alpha served as the exclusive financial advisor.
Looking at the series of outstanding enterprises previously invested in by Yueyin Medical Fund, including Blue Ocean Strategy, Zhenluo Technology, Genetron Health, Ruihua Kangyuan, Purenyr Biotech, Mingyi Zhudao, The Lancet Guest, and Shuchuang Robotics, all follow the same “focus on specialization” logic.
The prevalence of infertility in China exceeds 12.5%, a figure that is rising annually due to delayed marriage and childbearing, environmental pollution, the relaxation of the two-child policy, and significant life stress.
Daka Zhuyun enhances the diagnostic and treatment efficiency of reproductive centers in provincial hospitals through patient source management and a remote outpatient system. By leveraging offline fertility clinics, it provides physicians with a multi-site practice platform, addressing the pain points of difficult access to care and the time-consuming nature of medical visits for patients.
Currently, Daka Zhuyun has established in-depth partnerships with numerous assisted reproductive technology (ART) medical institutions across China, and has built a tiered diagnosis and treatment system within medical consortia as well as offline ART clinics in multiple provinces and municipalities, including Shaanxi, Sichuan, and Shanxi. It is the most comprehensive service provider in the field of assisted reproduction in China, boasting the widest regional coverage and the most robust pool of expert resources.
Ma Wenqiang, founder of Daka Zhuyun, stated, “Despite the staggering and year-on-year growth in patient numbers, many provinces across China still have an insufficient number of assisted reproductive technology (ART) centers, leaving significant market gaps at the prefecture-level city tier. Daka Zhuyun aims to fill these gaps, minimize inconveniences for patients seeking care, and enhance their overall healthcare experience.”
He revealed that this round of financing is a milestone for the company. The company will focus on the nationwide expansion of its fertility clinics, providing one-stop services for assisted reproductive outpatient care and laboratory operations, striving to become the largest comprehensive service provider in the field of assisted reproduction.
Zheng Yufen, Managing Partner of Joy Capital Medical Fund, stated, “As an investment firm focused on the healthcare industry, we have invested in nearly 20 leading medical enterprises across various niche sectors. In addition to our optimism about the vast potential of the assisted reproductive technology (ART) sector, our greatest confidence lies in the founding team. Founder Ma Wenqiang and his team have been deeply engaged in the ART field for many years, possessing extensive experience in building tiered diagnosis and treatment systems and operating offline fertility clinics. We are delighted to participate in this round of financing for Daka Zhuyun and are confident in the company’s rapid expansion across China.”
