On November 13, WeDoctor announced a strategic investment in Jiua Technology, aiming to connect healthcare service scenarios—including households, pharmacies, and corporate institutions—through intelligent health terminals, thereby creating a convenient and efficient new family healthcare service system.
Over the past seven years, WeDoctor has connected 290,000 doctors and 172 million real-name registered users across China via the internet. It has established home healthcare service bases in collaboration with more than 100 regional central hospitals, providing patients with online support and offline clinical services. Additionally, it has jointly built a nationwide network of home healthcare service outlets with over 17,000 pharmacies and primary care institutions, forming an integrated medical service capability that combines online and offline offerings and integrates both general practice and specialized care. WeDoctor’s technology platform, WeDoctor Cloud, has achieved data interoperability with more than 2,400 key hospitals in 30 provinces across China. It has developed internationally leading AI-driven medical capabilities in more than ten fields, including diabetic retinopathy, pulmonary nodules, bone age assessment, cervical cancer screening, general practice, and traditional Chinese medicine.
Building on this foundation, WeDoctor invested in Jiuai Technology to deliver its medical and AI capabilities to households, pharmacies, corporate institutions, and other settings via intelligent health terminals. This enables the provision of one-stop, convenient, and high-quality healthcare services, including health management, online consultations, offline medical visits, online medication purchases, and overseas medical care.
Founded in 2015, Jiui Technology is the fastest-growing smart terminal enterprise in China. Its core founding team primarily consists of senior executives from companies such as Alibaba, Baidu, Huawei, and Smartisan Technology, with Li Daxue, former CTO of JD.com, serving as Chief Technical Advisor to Jiui Technology. Jiui Technology possesses unique insights and extensive experience in the research and development of smart terminals and customer experience, having launched the industry’s first family-oriented smart terminal, the H1, and the Emotional Intelligent Operating System (EIOS).
Liao Jieyuan, founder of WeDoctor, stated that WeDoctor’s strategic investment in Jiua Technology represents a significant step toward opening up WeDoctor’s medical service capabilities, building a new family healthcare service system, and supporting the government’s implementation of tiered diagnosis and treatment. The first smart health terminal in China, jointly developed by WeDoctor and Jiua Technology, will be officially launched on November 15 at the inaugural International Smart Healthcare Conference in Hangzhou. This launch will complete the closed loop of WeDoctor’s “base–outlet–terminal” family healthcare service system, delivering continuous, proactive, and comprehensive family health and medical services to hundreds of millions of households and users across China.
