On the internet, “Dr. Duan Tao” is a well-known influential figure and internet celebrity widely adored by fans. In 2017, Duan Tao initiated the establishment of Shanghai Chuntian Hospital Management Co., Ltd., thereby acquiring a new identity—that of an entrepreneur.

At the launch event of Fuyou Fund,Duan Tao stated that the establishment of the Fuyou Fund will help better address unmet medical and healthcare needs in the field of maternal and child health.. The relaxation of the two-child policy has spurred a rapidly expanding market in obstetrics, pediatrics, and related fields; meanwhile, as the post-1990s generation enters its peak childbearing years, their distinct consumption philosophies and preferences are driving an explosive surge in demand for mid-to-high-end medical products and services.

On the other hand, under the long-term family planning policy, major medical colleges and universities suspended admissions for the pediatric clinical specialty from 1998 until resuming in 2016. Given the lengthy training cycle for pediatricians, a significant supply bottleneck has persisted over the past decade, creating a substantial gap between robust market demand and inadequate market supply.

With the advancement of the new healthcare reform,With the implementation of policies such as multi-site practice, high-quality medical resources will continue to spill over, flowing from public tertiary Grade A hospitals into private specialized institutions., non-public healthcare will usher in new growth opportunities.

As an entrepreneur,Springfield Medical Management focuses on the investment, construction, operation, and management of obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatric medical institutions.. Aiming to provide patients with the highest quality care and optimal healthcare experience at reasonable prices, we are committed to becoming the most valuable obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics medical management group, serving the transformation and upgrading of China’s healthcare sector.

As an investor, Fuyou Fund focuses on investments in the maternal and child health sector. It is optimistic about entrepreneurial opportunities in this field driven by policy reforms, consumer demand, and technological advancements, aiming to support visionary entrepreneurs like Chuntian Medical Management in serving the transformation and upgrading of China’s healthcare industry.

From the director of a public hospital, to an entrepreneur, and then to an investor, each change in identity has drawn various attention and doubts to Duan Tao.

In his recent entrepreneurial diary, Duan Tao joked that he became the deputy director of a Grade 3A hospital at the age of 36 and the national chairperson of his specialty in his forties. After serving for eight years as deputy director and another eight years as director, he stepped down in his early fifties, having grown up amidst criticism and ridicule. Since embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, he has faced a new round of criticism and ridicule.

“You need to have a certain degree of perseverance; with such determination, you will persist and stay committed, remain unhurried because you have an accurate assessment of your own capabilities, and feel unafraid because you hold reasonable expectations for future outcomes.”

As Duan Tao stated in “Ideals Illuminate Us All”: “Why not embark on a path and make choices that may be unfamiliar to you? While this journey may be fraught with challenges, it is also replete with opportunities. If you excel, it can bring about significant change—not only transforming yourself but also influencing many of your peers. By doing what you love alongside people you cherish, you are truly building your own career.”

Entering the investment arena, Duan Tao also chose teammates who, like him, possess a deep understanding of and passion for the healthcare industry. The management team of Fuyou Fund has all invested their own capital in the healthcare sector and brings successful entrepreneurial experience. With a profound understanding of startups, they are committed to leveraging their expertise and resources to support entrepreneurs, fostering mutual growth and success.
