Ping An Good Doctor and Unisound Launch Joint Venture HaoYi Intelligence to Pioneer AI-Powered Home Healthcare Solutions

On December 8, Ping An Good Doctor announced the establishment of a joint venture with Unisound, a high-tech enterprise boasting world-leading intelligent speech recognition technology. The new entity is named Shanghai Haoyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Haoyi Intelligence”).

Leveraging their four core strengths in scenarios, data, technology, and capital, the two parties will deploy medical AI across the entire industry chain on multiple platforms, including mobile devices and home terminals, to address the shortage of medical resources and improve efficient connectivity in China. It is reported that Wang Qi, co-founder and CTO of Ping An Good Doctor, will serve as CEO of Shanghai Haoyi Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.

As the sole platform-level gateway to Ping An Group’s “Big Healthcare” sector, one of its two strategic business segments, Ping An Good Doctor’s “AI Doctor” made its debut in September this year. As of September 30, 2017, Ping An Good Doctor had amassed 175 million registered mobile users, ranking first in the industry by user base.

The Home Terminal Health Guardian will primarily serve household users. Building upon the features of the Ping An Good Doctor app, it enhances capabilities such as noise cancellation and long-distance voice pickup to meet the scenario-based needs of families. In the future, health monitoring and environmental sensing will be gradually incorporated into the Ping An Good Doctor hardware ecosystem.

Haoyi Intelligence will focus on the healthcare sector, dedicating itself to the design, R&D, operation, and service of smart hardware for user households. By enhancing user experience with comprehensive medical AI services, it enables users to synchronize their personal electronic health records across all scenarios through a single account, thereby obtaining 360-degree health management services as a “Family Guardian.”

Ping An Good Doctor has established an integrated online and offline diagnosis, treatment, and daily user health management product and service system, laying the scenario and data foundation for AI doctors to enter households in the future.
