CITIC Healthcare and Chunyu Doctor Launch Joint Internet-Based Diagnosis and Treatment Platform for CITIC Hospitals

On December 11, CITIC Healthcare and Chunyu Doctor officially established a strategic partnership. Going forward, the two parties will integrate their respective advantageous resources to explore innovative models and set benchmarks in the field of “Internet Hospitals.” At the event, both sides unveiled their first jointly developed project—the CITIC Healthcare Internet Diagnosis and Treatment Platform.

Pursuant to the strategic cooperation agreement, both parties will fully leverage their respective resources and technological expertise in areas related to “Internet Hospitals” to establish an “Internet-based Diagnosis and Treatment” platform at hospitals under CITIC Healthcare. Furthermore, the three parties will forge a tripartite partnership in the construction, operation, and promotion of the Internet-based diagnosis and treatment platform; the exploration of the “Internet + Elderly Care + Pharmaceuticals + Medical Insurance” operational model; and fields such as artificial intelligence and big data.

The collaboration between the two parties will first be implemented in the construction of an internet diagnosis and treatment platform. It is reported that both sides will leverage their respective advantages in internet information technology, customer resources, physician networks, operational models, and market promotion to jointly assist hospitals under CITIC Healthcare in building such a platform.

The jointly developed internet diagnosis and treatment platform will encompass a new online-offline medical service model covering the entire process of pre-diagnosis, during-diagnosis, and post-diagnosis care. It aims to establish an internet industry chain ecosystem centered on hospitals, gradually achieving the goals of “integrating medical care with elderly care,” “integrating medical services with insurance,” and “separating prescribing from dispensing.” In the future, with further development and application of artificial intelligence and medical big data, both parties will also explore providing personalized medical services to patients, effectively intervening in users’ lifestyles, and carrying out health management initiatives.

After a comprehensive assessment of factors such as socioeconomic development and the demand for internet-based healthcare, the jointly developed online diagnosis and treatment platform was first implemented at CITIC Huizhou Hospital. Located in the Zhongkai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, the hospital is a first-tier subsidiary under China CITIC Group and is classified as a Grade A tertiary general hospital. In early December, the hospital’s updated WeChat official account went live, enabling multiple functionalities including online consultations, appointment registration, medical report inquiries, and payment services.
