VCBeat (WeChat: vcbeat) has learned that Maternal and Child Health, a leading provider of maternal and infant healthcare services in China, announced on December 12 that it had completed the acquisition of Guangzhou Youer Clinic. Youer Clinic has become Maternal and Child Health’s first pediatric clinic to enter the Guangzhou market.

In the next phase, Mommy Knows You'er Clinic will join forces with the upcoming Mommy Knows Pediatric Clinic, set to open in the CTF Finance Centre, to jointly expand into the Guangzhou market and deliver high-quality maternal and child healthcare services.

Mami Knows You'er Clinic is located in the Zhujiang New Town CBD of Guangzhou, adjacent to the Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center. The clinic covers an area of over 1,000 square meters and is divided into two major sections: pediatric disease treatment and child healthcare. It features an ultrasound room, an X-ray room, an operating room, and eight consultation rooms.

To better facilitate pediatric cooperation during medical visits, the clinic features warm, child-friendly decor and includes a dedicated children’s play area.

Upholding the philosophy of “compassionate healthcare,” Mami Zhidao You’er Clinic strictly adheres to international JCI service standards, offering comprehensive outpatient services covering child health care, pediatric internal medicine, and pediatric surgery, thereby providing professional care for children aged 0–18 years.

At Mommy Knows You'er Clinic, doctors adhere to evidence-based medicine and advocate against overtreatment and overmedication.

It is worth noting that, as the first pediatric clinic in Guangzhou to offer day surgery services, Mami Zhidao You’er Clinic has additionally introduced day surgery and nighttime consultation services. These services provide risk-controlled, technically mature minor and medium-sized elective procedures for pediatric patients, effectively alleviating the healthcare access challenges faced by parents and children.

Amid the “pediatrician shortage,” the ability to continuously attract outstanding physicians is a key factor driving Mami Zhidao’s rapid growth.

To date, Mami Zhidao has not only secured exclusive online contracts with over 3,000 pediatricians and obstetricians from Grade A tertiary hospitals in China’s first-tier cities to provide users with online health services, but has also assembled a team of offline experts comprising pediatric specialists with overseas medical experience and top-tier pediatricians from domestic Grade A tertiary hospitals.

With this expansion into Guangzhou, the senior pediatric expert team from Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center will also join Mommy Knows You’er Clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services.

In addition to physician resources, Mami Zhidao has also established collaborations with domestic Grade A tertiary hospitals and third-party institutions. Co-established a public health online consultation service platform with Guangdong Mobile’s “Yue Jiankang” platform, providing users with features such as online consultations, family doctor services, and cloud storage of health records. The two parties jointly manage the pediatric services at United Doctors’ clinics in Beijing and Shanghai. With the support of its investors, Mommy Knows completed the acquisition of Guangzhou Youer Clinic, integrating it into the standard system of Mommy Knows’ offline clinics.

After more than three years of development, Mommy Knows has established a closed-loop service ecosystem integrating online and offline channels, and has begun expanding its network of offline clinics.

By the end of 2016, after Mami Zhidao secured Series B+ strategic financing from the Chow Tai Fook Group, the Mami Pediatric Clinic at the Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre was poised to open, working in synergy with Mami Zhidao’s You’er Clinic to strengthen its presence in the pediatric care sector.
