2018 Internet Healthcare METIS Awards Unveiled: Who Leads Industry Innovation?
On January 13, the “2018 Internet Medical Health Academic and Technical Exchange Conference,” themed “Intelligence, Integration, Inclusiveness, and Health,” grandly opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Under the guidance of the Hospital Management Center of the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the conference was jointly organized by the Internet Medical Health Industry Alliance, the National Engineering Laboratory for Internet Medical Systems and Applications, and the IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group. At the conference, the winners of the 2018 Internet Healthcare Industry Annual Awards—the “Metis Awards”—were officially announced in the presence of attending leaders and guests, followed by a grand award ceremony.

Ultimately, more than 100 submitted applications competed for the 14 major categories of the “Metis Awards.” A professional jury comprising over ten experts from authoritative industry institutions spanning academia, research, and enterprise—including the Academy of Macroeconomic Research of the National Development and Reform Commission, the China Institute of Communications, the China Communications Standards Association, the Health Development Research Center of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the Internet Medical and Health Industry Development Alliance, the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Health Management Association, the Chinese Society of Geriatric Health Care and Medicine, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications—adhered to the principles of “openness, impartiality, and fairness” to jointly select the leaders in innovation within China’s internet medical and health industry.
At the 2018 Academic and Technical Exchange Conference on Internet Healthcare, the Internet Healthcare Industry Alliance officially announced the final list of winners for 37 awards across 14 categories.
