Southeast University Affiliated Zhongda Hospital and Tencent Forge Strategic Partnership to Build a Smart Hospital Ecosystem

Both parties will jointly advance the “Internet Plus” initiative, promote the integration of the real economy with the digital economy, and accelerate the development of “Smart Jiangsu.” In the field of smart healthcare, Zhongda Hospital Southeast University affiliated to Southeast University and Tencent’s Internet Plus Business Department signed an agreement to leverage their existing technologies and achievements, gradually forming a systematic and mature “comprehensive smart hospital solution.”

Jiangsu’s First Joint Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Established at Zhongda Hospital. Professor Teng Gaojun, President of Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, and Chen Guangyu, Vice President of Tencent’s Internet Plus Business Group, signed the cooperation agreement.

It is reported that the two collaborating parties, from the implementation of artificial intelligence technology inStarting with research on AI-assisted medical diagnosis and treatment, the parties jointly established the “Tencent Internet+ Medical Big Data Research and Demonstration Base.” Leveraging Zhongda Hospital’s resources and expertise in the healthcare sector, along with Tencent’s “Internet+” big data storage, mining, and application technologies, the base will collaboratively conduct research projects related to big data.。

In terms of providing convenience and benefits to the public, leveraging Tencent’s platform advantages and big data analytics capabilities,as well as high-quality online operational resources and convenient payment methods, to build a mobile platform for Zhongda Hospital, thereby better meeting patients’ service needs and supporting the hospital’s development plans, and establish the public service reputation and brand of Zhongda Hospital.

Furthermore,Zhongda Hospital will also take the lead in implementing a full-process smart hospital system, leveraging WeChat’s payment capabilities and account infrastructure to enable mobile medical insurance payments and cross-regional settlement for the New Rural Cooperative Medical Scheme.。

Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University in Jiangsu is a comprehensive Grade III Class A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and scientific research.
