According to VCBeat (WeChat ID: vcbeat), Xingren Clinic, under the Xingren Doctor Group, will enter into strategic partnerships with the Zhang Qiang Doctor Group in Guangzhou and Shenzhen on the mornings of March 6 and March 8, respectively.
The collaboration involves the integration of Dr. Zhang Qiang Doctor Group’s Vein Disease Center into Xingren Clinic. Xingren Clinic will provide medical facilities, basic equipment, and patient operations support. Furthermore, both parties will jointly develop innovative healthcare services across multiple areas, including hardware services, clinic operations, and patient management.
According to Martin, CEO of Xingren Doctor, “It took us less than 12 hours to finalize the collaboration with the Zhang Qiang Doctor Group on February 4 this year.”
Following their visit to Almond Clinic, the delegation from Dr. Zhang Qiang’s Physician Group reached a preliminary cooperation agreement on the spot and rapidly finalized the details of the partnership. Dr. Zhang Qiang commented on Almond Clinic as follows: “It not only embraces platform-based management thinking and the concept of shared healthcare, but also operates with an internationalized business model. Furthermore, the clinic features a warm and welcoming environment, fully equipped basic facilities, and an excellent location.”
Zhang Qiang Doctor Group is China’s first physician group. Leveraging the most advanced international diagnostic and therapeutic concepts and its proprietary CHIVA (Conservative Hemodynamic Improvement by Ambulatory Phlebectomy) technique for vein preservation, it has become the leading brand in China for the treatment of lower-extremity varicose veins. This collaboration primarily focuses on the diagnosis and management of lower-extremity varicose veins. The team consists mainly of outstanding specialist physicians and medical assistants who have left the public healthcare system, hailing from renowned international hospitals and top-tier (Grade 3A) hospitals in China. They bring internationally aligned clinical philosophies and multiple proprietary medical technologies.
The primary factor motivating Dr. Zhang Qiang to join Xingren Clinic is its innovative platform-based model, specifically the shared philosophy of the partnership system, which is undoubtedly a future trend. Through this collaboration, both parties look forward to jointly exploring the value of this new model in practice. More importantly, the partnership will enable mutual understanding and learning, laying a solid foundation for broader cooperation across additional fields in the future.

Martin stated that the core of the strategic partnership with Dr. Zhang Qiang’s Physician Group is centered on day surgery centers. In fact, day surgery is already very common abroad, far exceeding inpatient surgeries. Currently, the development of day surgery in China has also entered an acceleration phase. In 2016, the National Health and Family Planning Commission announced the first batch of 56 disease procedures suitable for day surgery, covering a variety of conditions in general surgery, urology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and proctology.
“I chose Almond Clinic because I recognize its professionalism. Some so-called ambulatory surgery centers are, in reality, nothing more than an outpatient clinic with an operating room attached. Almond Clinic is entirely different; its ambulatory surgery center operates as an independent system that aligns with international standards,” Zhang Qiang told the reporter.
Meanwhile, the collaboration between Xingren Clinic and Dr. Zhang Qiang Medical Group also encompasses a comprehensive effort to build a high-quality future medical ecosystem, spanning hardware, software, and services. Data from Xingren Doctor shows that in the fourth month after the official opening of its Shenzhen clinic, 168 surgeries were performed, generating RMB 1.08 million in revenue and achieving break-even—a milestone originally planned by Xingren as a five-year target.
“In fact, our core focus is on physician services, whether individual doctors join Xingren Clinic or physician groups partner with us,” said Martin.
Currently, the Xingren Doctor platform has 430,000 real-name verified doctors. Xingren Clinic is a high-quality multi-site practice clinic built by Xingren Group in accordance with international standards. It boasts a nationwide network of Internet-enabled open medical centers and ambulatory surgery centers, integrated with an Internet-based doctor-patient communication and follow-up platform, and has provided high-quality online-offline integrated medical services to 8 million patients.
In addition, the Xingren outpatient clinics are highly replicable. Each facility occupies approximately 1,000 square meters and includes 10–12 consultation rooms, one treatment room, two day-surgery centers, and multiple functional areas. Equipped with international-standard medical devices, managed by professional healthcare teams, and operating under high-standard service protocols, these clinics also provide a warm and comfortable patient experience with a strong emphasis on humanistic care. To date, Xingren has established five outpatient centers in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Shenyang.
On the Xingren Doctor platform, physician engagement is exceptionally high, primarily manifested in two aspects. First, physicians are willing to invest their own funds into Xingren, demonstrating a profound level of trust. Typically, it is medical institutions that disburse payments to physicians; we have not observed other platforms where physicians are willing to contribute capital to the institution. During the initial campaign to recruit partner physicians for outpatient clinics, RMB 15.96 million was raised online within 30 days from 257 partner physicians.
Second, the Xingren Doctor platform performed a total of 888 surgeries this year. This substantial volume demonstrates physicians’ satisfaction with the outpatient clinics and their willingness to conduct surgeries there on a high-frequency basis.
Following years of dedicated effort in 2016 and 2017, Xingren Clinic experienced explosive growth in 2018. Currently, Xingren has evolved into an integrated online-to-offline (O2O) platform for physician practice. From the Xingren Doctor App to Xingren Clinic, Xingren provides physicians with a comprehensive medical ecosystem encompassing online consultations, follow-up management, Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, laboratory and diagnostic testing, and offline clinical services, thereby creating a closed-loop system throughout the entire medical practice process.
Martin also revealed that the second round of partner clinics for Xingren is currently in the planning stages, with Xingren expecting to co-establish 20 additional partner clinics in 2018.
