In this role, he will oversee key business areas, including collaborations with pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Last October, Medlinker became a strategic partner of Gilead Sciences China. Upon joining in January 2018, Li Yue will initially take charge of this collaborative project.
Prior to joining Medlinker, Li Yue served as Vice President of Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) China and General Manager of the North China Branch (RGM). During her more than 20 years at MSD, Li Yue held various positions, including National General Manager of MSD China’s Vaccine Division, and National Sales Manager for Zocor and Januvia. From 2010 until she joined Medlinker, Li Yue consistently served as Vice President of MSD China and General Manager of the North China Branch, accumulating extensive experience in corporate strategy formulation, organizational structure development, talent cultivation, and business operations. Under her leadership, the North China Branch of MSD China achieved rapid growth across its relevant business segments.
Wang Shirui, Founder and CEO of Medlinker and Penguin Doctor, stated, “Under the national macro policies vigorously promoting the ‘Two-Invoice System’ and eliminating drug markups, the pharmaceutical distribution industry will undergo a major reshuffle, with businesses such as DTP (Direct to Patient) poised for rapid growth. Ms. Li Yue brings over 20 years of management experience in the pharmaceutical sector, and her appointment will significantly strengthen Medlinker’s core business of collaborating with pharmaceutical and medical device enterprises.”
Currently, the team led by Li Yue has entered into in-depth collaboration with Gilead Sciences China, advancing a patient-centric, comprehensive healthcare solution with hepatitis C treatment as the entry point. Li Yue stated, “Medlinker possesses high-quality resources in the medical field that are needed by traditional pharmaceutical companies, and my professional experience may create new possibilities within Medlinker’s strategic layout. In the future, Medlinker will continue to unleash the power of connectivity, striving to provide more distinctive, comprehensive solutions for enterprises across the upstream and downstream of the healthcare industry, thereby delivering safer, more convenient, and more efficient services to patients.”
In December 2017, Medlinker secured RMB 400 million in Series C financing, with strategic investment from the CE Health Fund and participation from China Renaissance New Economy Fund, as well as existing shareholders Tencent and Sequoia Capital. Currently, Medlinker boasts over 430,000 real-name verified physicians and offers a suite of products including the Medlinker App and the Medlinker Cloud Open Platform. As China’s leading real-name physician platform, bolstered by national-level data resources, Medlinker leverages its rich and high-quality physician network to collaborate with medical institutions, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and insurance enterprises.
