Recently, Ningbo Annuobode Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. (“Annuobode”) announced the completion of its Series A financing round, raising tens of millions of RMB from Xie Li Investment. Following this round, Annuobode will accelerate multiple CAR-T clinical trials, striving to achieve greater breakthroughs in the safety and durability of efficacy of CAR-T therapies.

Anuobode focuses on the research and development of CAR-T technology with independent intellectual property rights and has applied for multiple national patents. The company currently possesses a comprehensive antibody screening platform, a clinical-grade lentiviral production platform, and a cell gene editing platform, through which it has carried out various technological innovations in CAR-T development. In clinical trials conducted at multiple hospitals both domestically and internationally, the company has achieved definitive and durable efficacy; patients with refractory or relapsed adult hematologic malignancies who received CAR-T clinical therapy maintained complete remission for more than two years.

Following the completion of this round of financing, Anobode will not only maintain its existing leadership in technological innovation and R&D but also prioritize technical exploration in enhancing clinical efficacy, expanding into new indications, discovering novel targets, and advancing industrial translation.

The company’s founding team has long been engaged in research and development in fields such as tumor cell biology and immunology, possessing substantial technical expertise in monoclonal antibody preparation, recombinant virus packaging, and cellular gene editing.

While upholding independent intellectual property rights in R&D, the company shares its four mature technology platforms with global biopharmaceutical R&D clients, providing technical support to those dedicated to developing new products in tumor immunotherapy. In 2017, the company’s revenue doubled compared to 2016, and it secured Series A financing from XieLi Investment.

Company founder Gary Jing previously served as a Research Assistant at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He has conducted research on the pathogenesis of cancer and immune-related diseases, accumulating extensive experience and technical expertise in immunology, gene editing, and related fields. He has published multiple research papers in international academic journals within these disciplines.

After returning to China in 2012, Jing successively served as a Senior Research Scientist and Key Account Project Manager at GenScript. He subsequently joined the New Drug R&D Department, where he led a team engaged in long-term research in tumor cell biology, recombinant virus development, gene editing, and related fields.

In 2015, Gary Jing dedicated himself to the research and development of CAR-T technology, established Anuobode’s existing CAR-T R&D and manufacturing platform, and advanced the clinical translation of the technology.

To date, the company has cumulatively completed dozens of investigational CAR-T clinical studies. Preliminary statistical results indicate that the therapy is clinically safe and effective, with durable efficacy and controllable risks of cytokine release syndrome (CRS).

Zhai Gang, a partner at Xieli Investment, stated: “Anuobode is a low-key and pragmatic company that remains committed to the development of proprietary intellectual property technologies. We believe that following this round of financing, the company will be able to achieve better and faster growth.”
