At the signing ceremony, Ye Ling, Dean of West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University, stated that the hospital was founded in 1907. For over a century, it has adhered to a modern management model integrating medical care, education, and research, evolving into an internationally renowned dental institution. It has ranked first in China’s national discipline evaluations for four consecutive cycles and has topped the Chinese Hospital Science and Technology Impact Ranking (Stomatology) for four consecutive years in recent times.

Dean Ye Ling pointed out that, against the backdrop of the national “Double First-Class” initiative, West China School of Stomatology is accelerating its efforts to build a world-class discipline in stomatology. Strengthening the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with stomatology, establishing an advanced AI-enabled stomatological technology system, and comprehensively developing smart oral healthcare are essential requirements for building West China Stomatological Hospital into a world-class medical center, as well as important measures to implement the Healthy China strategy.

Wang Shirui, founder and CEO of Medlinker and Penguin Doctor, stated that Medlinker was established in 2014, completed a Series C financing round of RMB 400 million last December, and entered into a strategic partnership with CEC Data, the national team in medical big data.West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, is a leading specialized stomatological hospital in China, boasting world-class medical resources. As the alma mater of its founders, West China School of Stomatology provided the initial seed users for the Medlinker APP. The growth of Medlinker to date has been inseparable from the steadfast support of its faculty and students. Medlinker looks forward to further strengthening its collaboration with West China Hospital of Stomatology, contributing its expertise in areas such as healthcare informatization, scientific research, and talent development.

Wang Shirui believes that as internet healthcare has evolved to its current stage, a purely online model can no longer support sustainable development. Only a “heavy-asset” strategy integrating online and offline services can make meaningful contributions within the broader context of healthcare reforms, such as promoting tiered diagnosis and treatment, telemedicine, and medical assistance programs.Medlinker will work together with West China School of Stomatology to actively promote the development of “Medical+, Internet+, and Artificial Intelligence+” in the field of stomatology, providing the public with more convenient and high-quality oral healthcare services.
