Thousand Attendees Gather for a Grand Academic Feast: The 5th International Conference on Telemedicine and Health Services
General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: We should promote initiatives such as “Internet Plus Healthcare” to minimize the need for citizens to make physical visits while enabling data to flow more freely, thereby continuously enhancing the equalization, inclusiveness, and convenience of public services.
Premier Li Keqiang emphasized the need to accelerate the development of medical consortiums and promote “Internet Plus Healthcare,” enabling the public to access high-quality medical services at their doorstep. Dedicated internet lines should be established to meet the requirements of telemedicine.
The “Outline of the ‘Healthy China 2030’ Planning” and the “Guiding Opinions of the State Council on Actively Promoting the ‘Internet+’ Action” have both made deployments.
The National Health Commission, in conjunction with relevant departments, studied and drafted the “Opinions on Promoting the Development of ‘Internet Plus Medical Health’” (hereinafter referred to as the “Opinions”). On April 12, the State Council executive meeting reviewed and approved the “Opinions” in principle. On April 28, the “Opinions” were officially issued under the name of the General Office of the State Council.
