Genetron Health Welcomes First-Ever Visit from Germany's Renowned German Cancer Research Center

Recently, a delegation of experts from the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) at Heidelberg University Hospital, hereinafter referred to as the German Cancer Research Center, visited China.

 

During this visit, the delegation toured and exchanged insights with several of China’s top oncology medical institutions. As the sole corporate participant, Genetron Health once again garnered recognition and acclaim from internationally authoritative organizations.


Professor Hai Yan, Duke University Chair Professor and Co-founder & Chief Scientific Officer of Genetron Health, warmly welcomed Professor Michael Baumann, Scientific Chair and CEO of the German Cancer Research Center; Professor Josef Puchta, Administrative Director; Professor Eike Otrom Martin, International Relations Coordinator; Professor Webster Cavenee, Member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and Director of the Central Nervous System Strategic Alliance at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research; and Dr. Sujuan Ba, President and COO of the National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) and Founder & CEO of the Asia Foundation for Cancer Research (AFCR). The two sides engaged in active discussions and exchanges regarding their respective capabilities, research projects, and potential future collaborations.

During this visit to China, the delegation also paid key visits to Beijing Tiantan Hospital of Capital Medical University, Peking University Cancer Hospital, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, and Ruijin Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
