On June 12, in Beijing, Medlinker, China’s leading real-name physician platform, and Dingdang Kuaiyao, the country’s first new-retail pharmaceutical platform, announced a strategic partnership. Leveraging their respective advantageous resources, the two parties will launch a novel “Physician + Diagnosis + Medication” business ecosystem centered on users, covering the entire continuum of medical and pharmaceutical services—from physician consultations and diagnostic care to direct drug supply and home delivery.

Based on this collaboration, both parties will actively integrate their respective medical service capabilities and pharmaceutical resources to create China’s first successful model of dual-wheel drive and collaborative operations featuring “New Healthcare + New Retail.” Under the agreement, Dingdang Kuaiyao will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical service solutions to meet the medication demands generated by the Medlinker platform. The two parties will also jointly promote various innovative businesses, including pharmaceutical distribution, cross-border medication access, family doctor services, and insurance-related financial services. Notably, Dingdang Kuaiyao will work in close coordination with Penguin Doctor to engage in deep cooperation across areas such as pharmaceutical supply, family doctor services, medical services, and pharmaceutical services.

Yang Wenlong, founder of Dingdang Kuaiyao, stated that the two parties will integrate resources and leverage their complementary strengths to provide users with services including initial consultations at clinics, online follow-up visits, direct drug supply from manufacturers, and 28-minute home delivery. This collaboration aims to refine a new industry landscape integrating medical care and pharmaceuticals, offering users efficient, professional, and convenient services for diagnosis and treatment, health management, medication consultation, and drug purchasing. As the strategic partnership deepens and both sides mutually introduce their advantageous resources, there will be greater room for development.

Wang Shirui, Founder and CEO of Medlinker and Penguin Doctor, stated that Medlinker will leverage Dingdang Kuaiyao’s pharmacy chain services and robust medication delivery capabilities to address the “last mile” challenge in closing the loop of “medical care + diagnosis + medication.” Meanwhile, Dingdang Kuaiyao can utilize Medlinker’s strengths in physician services, pharmaceutical company services, and offline clinic services to expand upstream in the industry chain. Both parties hope their collaboration will become a successful case of industrial integration and development in the “Internet + Healthcare” sector.

In April this year, the General Office of the State Council issued the “Opinions on Promoting the Development of ‘Internet + Healthcare’,” which allows medical institutions to establish internet hospitals and conduct online follow-up consultations for certain common and chronic diseases. Once physicians have access to patients’ medical records, they may issue electronic prescriptions online; after review by pharmacists, medical institutions and pharmaceutical distributors may entrust qualified third-party logistics providers with delivery. This policy support has unveiled new market opportunities. The new partnership between Medlinker and Dingdang Kuaiyao will genuinely facilitate the implementation of a closed-loop “medical consultation–diagnosis–pharmacy” model through online consultations via internet hospitals and electronic prescriptions.

Within the closed-loop ecosystem of “medical consultation + diagnosis + pharmaceuticals,” Medlinker, with its 500,000 real-name verified physicians and 20,000 contracted doctors, can provide medical service resources such as physician teams and qualifications for internet hospitals. Penguin Doctor, jointly invested by Medlinker and Tencent, plans to establish 300 offline clinics across China within the next three years. Dingdang Kuaiyao already boasts over 20 million registered users and more than 200 offline Dingdang Smart Pharmacies, with its “28-minute home delivery” rapid distribution service leading the industry. Through this partnership, the two companies aim to “capture” users by offering high-quality integrated medical and pharmaceutical services, and leverage in-depth big data mining to deliver high-quality, personalized health management services to each user.
