2018 China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition - Large-Medium-Small Enterprise Integration Special Event (Meinian Health Track) Launches to Empower Innovators through Ecosystem and Platform Synergy

2018 China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition – Specialized Contest on Integration of Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises (Meinian Onehealth Healthcare Special Session) is now openly recruiting projects from the public. Entrepreneurs are warmly welcomed to register and participate.

The theme of this competition is intelligent precision medicine. Participating enterprises that are deeply engaged in this field, possess products and technologies with high growth potential, and demonstrate a spirit of innovation and pioneering will have the opportunity to receive funding support for innovation and entrepreneurship. The preliminary round will be conducted through online review before July, while the semi-finals, finals, and awards ceremony will be held in Shenzhen in August, ultimately crowning the national champion of the year in the field of intelligent precision medicine.

Co-hosted by Meinian Onehealth and Wandong Medical, and jointly organized by Shenzhen Health Intelligence Valley and Beijing Kechuang Jiayi Technology Service Co., Ltd. (Chuangdongli), this competition focuses on intelligent precision medicine, aiming to promote integrated innovative development among large, medium, and small enterprises.

Upgraded Event: New Era Focuses on Collaborative Development of Key Industries

In 2017, the Intelligent Precision Medicine Special Competition of the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held. Centered on Meinian Onehealth’s ecosystem, the competition efficiently aggregated surrounding resources such as capital, technology, and talent, initially establishing a new market-oriented model of mass innovation and mutual support. It provided new approaches for large enterprises to participate in “mass entrepreneurship and innovation,” created a new platform for connecting market resources, and injected new momentum into the vitality and prosperity of the industrial ecosystem.

Last year’s competition yielded abundant achievements. Market-oriented and closely aligned with the pulse of the times, competing projects such as original gene editing and liquid biopsy have gone global, reaching world-leading standards. Notably, Basepoint Biotechnology, which advanced to the finals, secured additional capital support after the event.

In the new era, creating an upgraded version of “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” has become a key task in building an innovative nation. The competition adopts a more forward-looking approach in setting themes for professional contests, prioritizing synergistic fusion among innovation stakeholders as its future focus. Meinian Onehealth will once again lead the development of a dual-innovation ecosystem in the field of intelligent precision medicine, connecting participating ventures with a closed-loop medical resource ecosystem, and cultivating “highly specialized, sophisticated, and scarce” hidden champions for China.

The competition will be divided into two categories: the Established Enterprise Group and the Startup Enterprise Group. Enterprises registering for the main event of the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition may simultaneously register for this specialized event. Projects recruited for this special session will focus on applications such as medical robots, genetic testing, and big data in medical imaging. Specific technical and product areas include: in vitro diagnostics; cardiovascular care; medical imaging and big data-related fields; genetic testing-related fields; and medical robotics-related fields.

The integrated and innovative development of large, medium, and small enterprises is a concrete measure for China to achieve co-evolution, symbiosis, and multilateral win-win outcomes among various innovation entities. Intelligent precision medicine is an emerging industry characterized by cross-sector integration; the mutual learning and thorough integration across interdisciplinary fields necessitate that innovation carriers adopt a broader perspective. The mutual embedding within and between industries has created greater space for innovation and entrepreneurship in intelligent precision medicine. Empowering Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Meinian Onehealth Increases Support for Competitions

Meinian Onehealth is the organizer of this competition. Leveraging its vast and precise health big data, the event will provide data validation for the technologies, products, and services of participating companies. For innovative projects that align with the Group’s synergistic development, Meinian Onehealth will engage in in-depth business negotiations, market procurement, investment, mergers and acquisitions, and other forms of cooperation.

Core Structure of the Meinian Ecosystem

Meinian Onehealth has made significant strides in project clusters, fund establishment, research institutions, talent development, and incubation platforms, achieving substantial scale in building a closed-loop healthcare ecosystem. Hosting this competition will serve as a “release” of Meinian Onehealth’s ecological resources and act as a “boon” for the accelerated growth of participating enterprises.

Notably, Tianyi Group, the controlling shareholder of Meinian Onehealth, will leverage this special event as an opportunity to provide equity and strategic investments ranging from RMB 5 million to RMB 200 million to participating companies that meet the eligibility criteria. To facilitate precise matchmaking between these enterprises and the capital market, the Organizing Committee will organize targeted roadshows for participating companies with Tianyi Group’s various investment funds and other renowned investment institutions.

To encourage participating companies to innovate and develop, this special session will award first, second, and third prizes, with cash awards of RMB 100,000, RMB 50,000, and RMB 30,000, respectively. As a supporting organization, the Yantian District Government of Shenzhen will also provide eligible participating companies with financial support and settlement policies in accordance with relevant criteria.

Platform Optimization: Leveraging Market Mechanisms to Promote Ecosystem Development

Beijing Kechuang Jiayi Technology Service Co., Ltd. is one of the organizers of this professional competition.
