Dr. Guo Pingchuan of Aichi Dental Hospital under Meiwei Oral Healthcare Honored as Fellow of the International College of Dentists

Following rigorous screening and multiple rounds of review by the ICD International Board of Regents among nearly 200,000 dentists across China, 57 industry elites, including Dr. Guo Pingchuan, Dean of Tianjin Aichi Stomatological Hospital under Meiwei Dental Healthcare, were conferred the honorary title of “Fellow of the International College of Dentists.” Professor John Hinterman, Professor Zhou Xuedong, and Secretary-General Yue Lin presented the new Chinese Fellows with their Fellow certificates, ICD gold keys, and gold pins. At the same ceremony, 122 new Fellows from the Asia-Pacific region also received this honorary title.

The International College of Dentists (ICD) is a globally renowned organization in the field of dentistry and one of the three major international dental organizations. Dean Guo Pingchuan Was Conferred the Title of “Fellow of the International College of Dentists”

Dean Guo Pingchuan has been engaged in clinical dental practice for over 40 years. As the leading figure in implant dentistry at Meiwei Dental Care, he previously served as the director of a Tier-II specialized dental hospital in Tianjin for nine years. He currently holds the positions of Vice Chairman of the Private Practice Branch and Standing Committee Member of the Implant Dentistry Committee under the Chinese Stomatological Association. Dr. Guo Pingchuan was among the first generation of dental implant specialists in China and the first dentist to implement full-arch half-jaw implant technology, making significant contributions to the development of private dental implantology.

As an expert in dental implants for multiple international implant systems, Dr. Guo has been repeatedly invited to attend European academic conferences on implantology and various seminars and exchanges, and has published more than ten papers on oral implantology. In 2006, his works Application of Implant-Supported Prosthetic Techniques in Edentulous Patients and Application of Immediate Implantation and Immediate Restoration in Clinical Dentistry were published by People’s Medical Publishing House. His work contributed to filling technological gaps as part of Tianjin Municipal Health System’s technology introduction initiatives. He also co-authored the book Quality Management in Oral Healthcare with Dr. Li Gang from the Fourth Military Medical University.
